Newest Finished Painting

This was intended to be more or less a 'study' so I did it on a 12 X 16 inch canvasboard.

it turned out rather nicer than I thought it would and in fact is perhaps the first one I have done with my friend John that 'might' be a little nicer than his version.

It is from a photo I took a few weeks before just down the street from me.....a flowerpot on a mailbox support.

I hope you like it.

P.S. It is so far unsigned as I intend to do a few little touchups to it before i declare it finished.

Wayne,
you have inspired me to 'just have a go'. If this is what you have achieved with minimal experience, you are a genious. I have just turned 50, and in the last 5 years had this urge to paint, but no confidence, in case someone saw my work, or God Forbid, criticised it.
Take a Well Done from me and a thankyou also for the inspiration, although I feel I will be a fair bit older than your tender 60+ years before I achieve your ability.

Rhonda,
Thank you for the most kind words.
I must say that finding a friend to paint with who was fairly acomplished was a HUGE plus.
I am now trying some watercolour which absolutely excites me.
I hope you find someone to help and encourage you and remember...in the end it only matters what YOU think of your work.
